In August 2022, with the transition to a new distributor and working with a new editing and design team, I decided to unpublished Proper Grey Areas. Many of the poems and musings were written during the pandemic and I felt that it was best for me as a writer to leave the book in the past. This was not an easy decision, however, with the editing and writing guidance from Lynne Knight, I felt the need to move forward and republishing this book would of felt like going backwards.
Modern, Accessible Poetry
Sunday’s sophomore volume of poetry is intimate and eclectic as she writes about love, self-discovery, grief, abuse, empowerment, and the global pandemic.
Personal experiences and keen observations influence her work. Sunday’s darker poems give a voice to society’s unheard. To balance the intensity, Sunday weaves poems of hope and comfort inspired by nature’s majestic beauty and peacefulness.
Her piercing allegory and sophisticated use of lineation establish Sunday as an important new voice. This book belongs to many categories as her work transverses multiple poetry genres. Proper Grey Areas is a relatable and intriguing book for individuals seeking self-reflection, solace, and inclusion.
